You're right, this plugin does not work with node 0.10.x. In fact, it is optimized for Node v4 and over!
But /usr/local/lib/node_modules/serverless/bin/serverless:5 indicates that the error is due to Serverless, not Serverless-offline. Serverless too is compatible only with v4 and over.
My advice is for you to use Node v5 (with its cool new ES6 features, and npm v3!) with Serverless, Serverless-offline and Serverless-runtime-babel. This last plugin will take care of transpilling your code into something Node v0.10.x can run.
Developing against the target platform is a good idea, but it may slow you down. I'm closing this one, feel free to ask anything else.
