Apparently fixed by applying

I find the fact that this works a little counterintuitive, but it's the post-remove function that knows the real location of the package. That said, I think the fact that in principle it was trying to remove the package twice should probably be considered a red flag, and this area of the code (for all installation types) reviewed.

Fixed and pushed, thanks for reporting!

What I did instead is to give some more knowledge in el-get-rmdir about ELPA using symlinks. apt-get and all are using hooks for that, but they are also not elisp-only code, they rely on the subprocessing "framework" in el-get. That was the easiest one-shot solution from here.
