I upgraded the intel graphics:
https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/intel-graphics-update-tool-linux-os-v2.0.5
Then moved to x-swat:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/updates
sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade
Reboot - and no more kern spam.

The workaround can be found in the linked thread as well. Closing as I don't think we can do anything in evdi to improve this.

Can you please advise where to ask If it's not evdi bug? Xorg? Kernel?

I get this same error on linux mint 18.2 with MDM installed? Dell m6800 32mg ram ssd. Does anybody kow what the CAUSE is?
