Please give this a try again. Had to make a few tweaks to in order to get things to work with the stable version of Xamarin.Android.

This solution does not seem to open in VS2012/Xamarin.Android 4.6.8 (see screenshot), but it will in Xamarin Studio/Xamarin.Android. Logged this as bug 13129.

The VS2012 issue is an unsupported project type that crept in when this solution was created. Removed the project type from the .csproj file, and this works now in VS2012. see commit 61bdcdc
