I also hope it.
I couldn't add the package for Universal Portable Project (portable-win81+wpa81).

I'm Sorry. The problem might be in my environment.
I couldn't add Rx-Main package to PCL for Universal Apps.
But today, I tried again and succeeded.

It doesn't look like any of the Ix-* packages have been updated yet.

2.2.4 has support for the following frameworks (checked via NuGet Package Explorer):
◾net40
◾net45
◾portable-net40+sl5+win8+wp8
◾portable-win81+wpa81
◾portable-windows8+net45+wp8
◾sl5
◾windows8
◾windowsphone71
◾windowsphone8

It would be great if portable-net40+sl5+win8+wp8 could be updated to include wpa81. That, I think would fix the issues reported here.

Basically this is the configuration you get in VS 2013 Update 2 if you say "New -> Portable Library" and check all the boxes. :D Which actually is useful. In my case I'm trying to create a generic contracts library that will then have different implementations on each platform, and my specific library is targeted at industrial environments where I can expect a lot of legacy systems to be running for the next 10 years that need to be supported. A unified single library for the contracts would be super. I know I could just share source code between different projects targeting different combinations, but... not as elegant. :)

If this is in reality a very hard scenario to support, I apologize. Thank you Rx team for all the great work over the years! :)

In 2.2.5, we have support for "portable-net45+winrt45+wp8+wpa81". This should cover the WP 8.1 platform.
