I'm working on a cheatdb replacement, I have a simple proof of concept in php here: https://gist.github.com/corarona/b752fc4b15d3bbb75e10400dac3f41c4

I think it would be cool however if we could make a completely static version that can just be generated from a shellscript and then uploaded to some public git repository.

Sadly the way cheatdb is setup this will at least require including the zip files as the contentdb json format does not allow including explicit download URLs.

Another option would of course be modify the client code in builtin to accommodate such a field in the cheatdb json.

I do think in any case though that the full blown contentdb with the comments and stuff is not really necessary for our purposes and having it static would allow us to maybe even just use github to host it.

to add onto that it leads to a scam website asking to enter questions (i of course choose to have fun and enter the most weird answers i could like : age -1 unemployed / retired and then making more than 20000$ a month xD )

Well looking at it a bit further it only needs very little (1 line addtion) to make it possible to make it use a static json file, which we could simply make a new repo for which also contains a script that can generate it from the available repos in the dragonfire org or, probably better from a static list of git repos so sources from elsewhere can be easily added via PRs to that Repo.
