Thanks for using CSS Modal.
You can use the events by subscribing to them as if they were click events or something. Here is the code:

$(document).on('cssmodal:show', function (event) {
    console.log(event);
});

Thank you so much! This was exactly what I needed. Didn't thought about using 'document' as the target :) You should consider adding this snippet to the docs. It would certainly help a lot of people like me.
