Does test.cmd in the test/ directory pass?

yes, it passed. sorry, but the issue ended up being my fault... the compiler was silently failing because some of the syntax in a less file was incorrect.

I've modified the .wsf slightly to do batch compile jobs, so it just skipped the file and moved on. I also noticed some strange behavior when I changed the optimization and paths options of the less parser

Yes, I've come across these silent failures also - infuriating. Must try and
get to the bottom of it at some point!
