Great, adding --insecure to the curl command could help ofcourse...
But, I do have to say it would be good to add to the docs maybe that when people use some client application depending on the browser when making requests that they have to visit the vulcain server in their browser first so they can accept the certificate. When you don't do this you get a very vague error in your browser and did cost me some time to figure out, but maybe thats just me :)
Anyway, this can be closed imo.
