I installed node, npm and git. Installed Bower and ran the bower install command from the \build\bin\SuperDumpService folder.
It created the components in a folder called bower_components andi had to shift that to wwwroot and rename it to lib to work.
Is there any proper documentation to setup this service so people do not get confused?

You are right. Doc for this is missing. But actually I do think that this used to work automatically via project build but might have been lost in a code change. I'll try to fix this.

I believe you just would have to run bower install in the directory src/SuperDumpService/. Actually there is a PrepublishScript step which executes bower install, but it's only executed if you "publish" the project. Only after that it is runnable also directly from Visual Studio.
