Please include details on the version of the Edison SW image you are using since it may help identify whether this is an MRAA library or SPI driver issue. A cat of /etc/version is sufficient.

It would kind of make sense right? 16bit bpw and only giving 8bits, or 24 when it would need to send 32.
Interesting, deserves some study.

It does make sense to me, but remains a problem if someone wants to use SPi @ 16-bit and send odd number of bytes.

This works (and afaik worked for a while). We know support 16bit and odd number of bytes write on edison.
