You can run from the source. Otherwise there is nothing we can do; we do not possess old systems and Apple make it almost impossible to develop binary packages for them.

Why then Electrum, Electron Cash and Electrum-XZC successfully updated to support it? Why not merge this particular bug if it's already fixed on other electrum forks?

Well, I'm just regular user addressing the issue, not a developer.
There's lot of users still using Sierra (around 14%), that are affected by this.

It's not a bug; no code change will fix it. The problem is we do not have old machines.
