Hi @laziobird, can you try following the instructions under "Option Two: Change npm's Default Directory" to have npm install global packages to your home directory?

I'm not entirely certain that this will resolve your issue, but I think there's a pretty good chance it will. And even if not, this generally makes working with global npm packages more convenient and resolves some weird permission-related issues.

You can alternatively also try running charge using docker.

By the way, the restful API can't be accessed by remote node ?
