Так ведь... вроде, восстанавливается?

Восстанавливается только если [x] Auto save setup
но если [ ] Auto save setup и мы вручную сохраняем конфигурацию по Shift-F9
то восстанавливаются только каталоги, курсор на обоих панелях стоит на ..
