Agree :) @Gozala and I talked about how to do this and one idea was to just not allow dependency ranges. You must use the specific versions you built it with. I think there are problems with this, but "it definitely works with foo-0.1 and bar-0.2.0.1" is valuable information that should not be thrown out.

well semver ranges are fine if the user manually says I want this semver range.

Having elm-get compute a semver range when the user says I want foo-0.1 because it would allow sharing foo-0.1.2 between two modules and it seems safe because the foo-0.1.2 tests and interface pass with the foo-0.1 implementation seems bad.
