Could you please try using the button integrated into the IDE and see what happens? It is located in the upper-right corner where you can see Git: and three buttons. You can try click the green check mark and then write a commit message. After that, you can try to press the green button to the right and push your code.

Great! If you prefer command line, you may try git push origin master.

I checked the code under your repo, it seems that you only have a branch named master. I think that is why it did not work at the very first. Because git push origin should add a branch name instead of your project name.
