I'm looking into a patch where I do the m2m stuff after creating the instance
That would be awesome. Got anything you can throw up on github yet for me to see? I've seen save_m2m stuff w/ forms mentioned as being more complicated, but I'm not sure I've really understood why yet - if you've got any simple examples I could see that'd also be totally helpful.
Hacking at djangocon.eu at the moment - there's a small chance i might get a chance to look into this.
And seriously - welcome to the project - anything I can to help in anyway just let me know - it's early days yet but I think it's going to really take off...
