Thanks for the note.
I'm going through and closing old issues, so came across this again.
I'm not 100% sure that I've followed your situation as described above. Current pooler uses a separate gen_server for each pool and you can configure pools to be part of a group (the main feature being to be able to randomly take a member from some pool in a named group). I'm not sure whether this helps you or not. Feel free to open another issue in the future if you have a specific suggestion to move this forward.
