After looking through this, it seems that ert will choose the directory of the first included file with a FORWARD_MODEL
keyword it finds to be the relative path to all forward model jobs. This does work correctly in the new parser we have created which will replace the old parser. Unfortunately, fixing this in the old parser requires significant rework. I will keep this issue updated with the status of the new parser.
