I'm less worried about code size than I am about modules that:

• expect a 100% ES5 JavaScript implementation
• expect a node environment
  • the full process object, etc.
• expect a --harmony environment
• have dependencies on modules that are provided by node itself
• have dependencies on compiled modules

Any thoughts for how to handle these issues?

Well:

• Keep it as an option that is off by default (and that comes with a warning :) )
• Have a list of modules that we know don't work/aren't in Espruino (and check to see if a module is one of those or uses one).

I think it's worth having as an option though - some modules will work, and hopefully I'll be able to get some reports about which bits of Espruino are causing problems (or maybe even pull requests). When referencing built-in functions, exceptions and regex are implemented I think most other incompatibilities should be relatively trivial to fix (although I'm aware that there will be quite a few!).
