Killing this. I think it's on Evercam Media to talk direct to the camera HTTP if we want to. This issue is confusing.

@marcoherbst some part of this is still relevant to our work. I plan to support Onvif on this NVR, at least some commands could be run through the NVR.

In Evercam, our ops team frequently finds itself wanting to work directly with the camera, typically to change settings or even just to confirm that it's working ok.

Today that means we are reliant on a http NAT to the camera.

If we are comfortable having all that we need accessible via ExNVR (including, possibly, a proxy of the web UI?) then we can avoid those additional NAT rules and, maybe, we make the ExNVR device to be the VPN client, thus simplifying the router config requirements and making us less reliant on one brand of router (and easing our journey to putting the modem on the ExNVR device?).
