The month and year params are helpful for determining what range of events to query in the database. Make sure that you're querying the correct set of events. I'll play with an example to show you and/or fix any problems that might be with this version.

This should be fixed. If you didn't have a route named "calendar", the gem would crash because that's what I was depending upon for adding the < and > links. That should be fixed now and those links will instead link to the current url.
I published the fix to rubygems under version 0.0.4 now.
