Hey @alicetragedy, glad you like the gem! 🤘
You probably want to do something like this div and class to wrap the calendar and select the only the h2 for the calendar:
<div class="event-calendar">
<%= calendar @events do |event| %>
<div><%= link_to event.name, event %></div>
<% end %>
</div>
Then if you use scss, you can use the @extend
feature to apply bootstrap button styles (or whatever other class you want to use).
.event-calendar {
h2 {
font-size: 14px;
font-weight: 400;
}
.next-month, .previous-month {
/* button styles */
margin: 0px 10px;
/* or extend Bootstrap button classes */
@extend .btn;
@extend .btn-primary;
}
}
If you don't use scss, you can flatten this out and just apply styles to the elements individually. You basically just want to make the links look like buttons instead of actually making them <button>
tags.
Does that help?

oh, silly me - I didn't think of doing it with the extend feature. That's a smart move 😉
thank you - this should most definitely help!
