Update: actually the problem exists also when starting in Portrait and going to Landscape. In this case, the bottom half of the screen (including the buttons at the bottom and part of the map) are not displayed.

Perhaps the Dimensions Change event is not fired? How can I test it?

Hi @rahamin1 - I think this is likely an issue with the maps component. Could you try creating an MCVE that reproduces this problem? https://stackoverflow.com/help/mcve It's hard to isolate exactly what the problem is when there's a lot of extra code in your example. 🙂 If you could do that and post on the https://github.com/expo/expo repo instead we might be able to help you out more easily.

@esamelson Looking again on the code that I posted (which is a subset of my code), and since I am working on new issues, I prefer not to put more efforts in minimizing the code. Thanks for willing to help!
