Iirc the generator pins the version of express used so this is not an issue. If it doesn't pin, then that is the real issue. A separate issue is whether to upgrade to version 2 in the generator.

i just generated a new express app with less and pacage.json it's just grabbing whatever it fancies which is version 2, maybe want to change it to "less-middleware": "1.*"?
