GET
requests are considered a "safe" request, in which the operation should not have side-effects and can retried over and over without affecting anything. POST
does not have this limitation, which is why we do not support this on GET
requests.

afaik the main purpose of this method is to work with old internet explorers in which you couldn't do DELETE
and such. From your dev machine curl etc. should be fine.
