@agordon: this is the diff that broke the build: c4636ee

We had an automated code-mod internally to simplify some fb thrift API calls. It passed builds internally but broke here. I didn't look deeply in why this was broken.

The removal of _ref() suffix from Thrift-generated files is a recent feature of 'thrift', though it seems the code generated internally differs slightly from the code we get when building fbthrift locally. Main symptom is that thrift objects with fields marked as required ( e.g. https://github.com/facebook/CacheLib/blob/main/cachelib/allocator/serialize/objects.thrift#L48 ) still generate only the accessors with the _ref() suffix. This is being investigated...
