Thanks for your interest in FakeItEasy!

Yes, this is the expected behavior. The first time you create a fake for IState, FakeItEasy generates a fake type, and reuses it for subsequent IState fakes (actually, this is done by CastleDynamicProxy, which FakeItEasy and most mocking libraries rely on).
The actual behavior of each individual fake instance is provided by an interceptor, based on how you configure the fake.
