Bind commands should not be set at script level

Since bind command is a bash command you would be not able to use goto with zsh or even sh.

need zsh support

Great idea, but zsh support doesn't seem to be there at this moment.. any possibility of supporting zsh in the future?

"^A" is inserted at old cursor position in vi mode

If bash is in vi mode (set -o vi), then whenever the I jump to a new character a "^A" is inserted after the old cursor position.

Wrong repo in README.md

It seems to be a typing error here (git-recall.git instead of goto.git )

Clone this project (or just copy goto.sh content somewhere)

bash_execute_unix_command: cannot find keymap for command

When I press \C-k on my keyboard, I get the error:

I installed this version of bash using homebrew
I am running this in iTerm2 and don't have any special iTerm settings involving keymaps
Any idea what could be causing this problem?

Default bind is terrible

Bash (a GNU project) uses key bindings based on Emacs (a GNU project). Ctrl+K is a very commonly used Emacs (and therefore, Bash) keyboard binding to kill text from point/cursor to the end of the line. So the default of binding "goto" being Ctrl+K is a terrible, terrible idea. :(

Ace-jump, which provides similar functionality for Emacs, and which is fairly well known, defaults to C-c SPC as a default for jumping to the first character of a word and C-u C-c SPC for jumping to an arbitrary letter (which is what "goto" does, IIUC).

I would suggest Ace-jump's defaults would be a significantly better default for "goto".

(Perhaps you could even add a just-to-first-char-of-word mode?)
