Yep, you can store your byte array in a custom Binary object, and add a custom serializer/deserializer to handle it.

This was caused by a bug in paranamer. I created a pull request for this & it has just been merged: paul-hammant/paranamer#2

Ah, I see. His github repo hasn't been updated with the release, so I assumed it hadn't gone out. I'll try and get a 2.1.2 with his fix out in the next few days.
