the repo.

Watching the repo, I won't always see if it has been updated because I'm watching and following many other repos and developers. With an RSS feed, it's easier to keep up with tools like Google Reader that keep track of what you've already read.
I could use the RSS from my git dash but that contains too much clutter. I'm not going to want to read all of the updates from there.
