I think with the new version (work in progress) it should indeed be easy to add windows 7 support. But as win7 is deprecated since a long time and anyone should switch at least due to security reasons this will never be a primary focus of jenv or jvenv and we wont hesitate to break support if it adds any benefit.
For now you need to unfortunately wait for the new version as anyone else here. This will add win7 support
from jenv-for-windows.
