I am just setting up Firesim for the first time and I can confirm this error. @abejgonzalez ?
Also changing line 505 as above hangs forever.
I had to manually ssh to the instance and "git remote add firesim https://github.com/firesim/aws-fpga-firesim.git" to be able to checkout the wanted commit 37832cdbc5d0b8f7f53dce6830ab887cb0bc6023.
