The iOS simulator does not support camera, which is different from the Android simulator.

Ok. I have been unable to view anything using the android simulator either

@lintonv check simulator settings, I believe camera simulation is disabled by default
But better try on real device, I'm constantly checking master branch and testing it on bunch of devices (4 android and 4 iphones, from Android 4.2 to Android 9, from iOS 10 to iOS 12)
