calling ImageManager.SetImplementation was the way you had to do it in fo-dicom version 4.
we cannot make fo-dicom.imaging.desktop supporting .netstandard2.0, because it contains System.Drawing.Bitmap, which is based on windows GDI. This is, why System.Drawing.Bitmap this is not supported in .netstandard2.0. You have to reference netframework or .netCore (e.g. .net6-windows) to have support for System.Drawing.Bitmap.
