What if you run your own local server? Still fails?

It seems rather sporadic. Sometimes I can join a server running on my machine fine, other times the Craft client just displays a black screen for a second or so and then crashes.
I will try to see if I can get some level of repeatability.

Isn't there a tool that converts Python 2 code to Python 3 code?

@abkothman There is a tool to convert it, but using Python 3 will give access to more features of the language.
