Hi, FireTray doesn't handle window z-order/stacking. That said, I've added an option to activate windows when restoring (download preview).
Note that:

  • with this option set, the current virtual desktop becomes the one of the last restored Mozilla window
  • the behavior you describe doesn't occur in my environment (fluxbox): thunderbird gets restored on top, but doesn't get the focus (no virtual desktop change)

Also, it seems that window managers tend to prevent applications from manipulating window z-orders (stack levels). That's why we need to activate windows instead of just putting them on top.

Hello I am on kubuntu, and this new option worked for me, thanks very much for such a quick answer, it has made me crazy to search all the time the proper window :)

Hi!
Is it planned to add this improvement through an update?

Hi, the fix will be included in the next release (not sure yet if this will be v0.4.0b3 or v0.4.0). I guess you can use the build which includes this fix in between. As to when the next release will be published, I hope in the next weeks.
