Speaking of which, i noticed you have *.md in https://github.com/mathiasbynens/luamin/blob/master/.npmignore#L2. Although the docs indicate README.* will never be ignored, it is being ignored in luamins case. When you run npm install luamin it outputs a warning:
npm WARN package.json [email protected] No README.md file found!
No idea what the README is being used for though..

Good catch! That sounds like a bug in npm — its source code makes it pretty clear that README files should never be ignored. Could you file a ticket?
