That would mean coupling the model from angular with the properties of the web component, and make the code more complicated when you just want to bind one primitive. I tried to stick to how basic controls word (ie for "input" you would set ng-model for the value and ng-click for the event, and not a single attribute that gets an object with all the properties). Why don't you add two attribute mappings?

I just realized what you meant and the elegance of your current solution. I was stuck imagining ng-model in the classical sense of ng-model, not the dynamically named attribute that acts like an ng-model for primitives. Thanks for your work!
