I noticed the code makes some assumptions about the width of the scrollbar. The plugin may benefit from some adaptation of this code:

I think I figured it out. I am using the Bootcamp Framework and had the text area surrounded by a 'div class="form-inline" ' tag (one of the Bootcamp css styles for showing forms). That was causing the highlighting to not display properly. Once I removed it from within that tag, it worked fine. Thanks for the help.

Additionally, the current main version of the plugin does make some assumptions about the width of the scrollbar. If you'd like, please check out my updates that fix this issue. My fork: https://github.com/rinogo/jQuery-highlightTextarea

I am using the latest version and still facing this issue. highlight marker is shifted when there is a scrollbar..
are there any fixes for this?
