Hey @Fryguy! Sorry about the complete radio silence -- I've been feeling pretty continuously guilty about leaving all my active work on a side branch.

Anyway, now merged to main: this should be fixed in v0.8.0.pre1

I ran into a similar problem:

0/ git checkout -b try-gel
1/ ...follow gel setup instructions (including installation via homebrew)
2/ Managed to install some gems but ran into #125
3/ Switch back to master git checkout master
4/ rails c now throws

~/.rvm/gems/ruby-3.0.3/bin/rails:11:in `<main>': undefined method `use_gemdeps' for Gem:Module (NoMethodError)
	from ~/.rvm/gems/ruby-3.0.3/bin/ruby_executable_hooks:22:in `eval'
	from ~/.rvm/gems/ruby-3.0.3/bin/ruby_executable_hooks:22:in `<main>'

Edit:

If I close that shell and open a new one it works ok. I guess it has something to do with the setup script then?
