Hi there,
It ended up working for me : I double checked that my db path was right. In fact, my database was in ./db/db/ so I moved it to ./db. I suggest that you check that your database is in the indicated path, it worked for me !
Let me know if the error persists !

It looks like it does not find the 16S database. How exactly did you specify --db and --tax in your command line?
I also have problems at this step, but not the same one. It looks like the BLAST-database I downloaded and untarred (according to the suggestions here) is corrupt in some way. I tried to use a straightforward blastn using the same database, and it crashes with the same error message as Nanoclust. Is there a link to the raw fasta files, such that I can build the database myself?

Hi. Has there been any luck with this issue so far? I'm also encountering the same problems.

Hi! Thank you for the suggestion and glad to hear it works. I managed to get it to work as well - I moved the db to a separate location and provided the absolute path. Thanks again!
