You mean the geometry model should provide symbolic names for each part of the boundary? E.g., the box would provide aliases "left"=0, "right"=1, "bottom"=2, "top"=3?

I like the idea very much, as long as the source code gets not overly complicated. Had to ask Juliane for which number means which boundary a dozen times or so already.
