The OpenLayers example pretty much includes all there is to it. There is no dedicated measuring tool provided by GeoExt 3 nor Ol3 at this time. Haven't checked your code as I don't want to download RAR files but

if you wan't to build a "Measure tool" button that users use to control the interaction in your app you should have a look at the toggle buttons example in the ExtJS Kitchensink and take a look at the buttons handler configuration. Then adapt The OL3 example code to bind the measure interaction to the map by

• getting the Ol3 map object that is displayed in the GeoExt 3 map component
• add the interaction to the map if the button is enabled
• remove the interaction from the map if the button is disabled

I'll close this issue as it is no bug or feature request (though a measure button may make sense in the future). If you have further questions it is best to ask at designated forums like Stack Overflow .
