Hmm this is weird - I've def. tested this manually, and there are also E2E tests that should also cover this, I think. so I wonder what causes this in the test there...

This isn't actually an issue for transactions with the Express tests, but I can reproduce this for both Mongo and Mysql.

can you see any logs about this, I wonder? Flushing is slightly delayed via OTEL but should just be a short time (few seconds max)... Do you see the logs about spans being created/sent?

Ah, I worked it out. With the database test scenarios, they exit before the sending occurs. The Express tests don't have this issue because the server stops the exit. There was no delay before otel so this wasn't an issue before!
