It's not about angucomplete-alt doing something wrong.
You can't use self-closing tag for custom element.
It will eat out until parent tag closes.
Try using
<angucomplete-alt ...></angucomplete-alt>from angucomplete-alt.

This is not specific to angucomplete-alt. It's about html.
