Enforce code entry?

If you don't supply a code in config then you can only read the status of the alarm but not operate it.
If you supply a code in config then you can fully operate it meaning if you press arm/disarm it will send the command to the api to execute the action and no further action is needed.

As per a request to operate it from homekit among others I removed the need of supplying the code (again) in the gui or in automations. I was considering to make this as an option of the configuration. How do you see this?

Does it clarify also current operational procedure?

I understand the reason and the need for the code to be predefined but personally I prefer having to enter the code at all times, except for status obviously.

Allowing your voice assistant to disable the alarm at best with a voice match "security" sounds like a terrible idea to me.

I would definitely support making it an option in config whether the code entry should be enforced in gui for arm/disarm/lock/unlock.

If you leave the pin code empty (it's available by options) you need to supply the code.
Thereby closing this issue as resolved.
