oops, sorry, forgot to post it.

# arcconf

  | UCLI | Adaptec by PMC uniform command line interface
  | UCLI | Version 1.2 (B20618)
  | UCLI | (C) Adaptec by PMC 2003-2013
  | UCLI | All Rights Reserved

weird versioning, i have older tool (by date), and it's version is way bigger:

  | UCLI | Adaptec by PMC uniform command line interface
  | UCLI | Version 7.31 (B18856)
  | UCLI | (C) Adaptec by PMC 2003-2011
  | UCLI | All Rights Reserved

Oo
I downloaded it today from the Adaptec download page!
http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/downloads/storage_manager/sm/productid=sas-7805q&dn=adaptec+raid+7805q.html
http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/speed/raid/storage_manager/arcconf_v1_2_20618_zip.htm

May be the B (Build?) number is a good reference than the version number.

i'm using this one:
http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/downloads/storage_manager/sm/productid=sas-5805zq&dn=adaptec+raid+5805zq.html

but seems the offered download is same for other similar products too:

I think the series 7 has another / newer arcconf branch.
The series 6 uses v1.1.20324 :)

i think there are different products: "maxView Storage Manager" and "Adaptec Storage Manager"

from nagios-plugin-check_raid.

Kai-ni avatar Kai-ni commented on August 25, 2024

I think maxView is the only the future name for the Storage Manager. Adaptec added max to some features :)
e.g. maxCache, maxCrypto, maxView
The Adaptec maxView Storage Manager is included / needed in Series 6 and 7.

Does this controller lack battery? or it's named differently?

from nagios-plugin-check_raid.

glensc avatar glensc commented on August 25, 2024

made some changes, so it at least parses now:

Controller:Optimal, Logical Device 0(OS):Optimal, Logical Device 1(SSDSTORAGEPOOL):Optimal, Logical Device 2(HDDSTORAGEPOOL):Optimal

but should parse out features from MaxView section
