Also the lack of an ellipsis after the last item is a bigger cue than the previous item. Though maybe in that case I should add a line saying something like "(end)" to Original.

At the same time, the number of spaces before the {{cloze in the template should be reduced for the text to be visible in the Question column.

Hmm, it's an interesting proposal, but I feel like the ellipses actually help memorization in that they give more of a spatial context to the sequence (just like you would sometimes remember a fact form a book just based on remembering on which page it was - and some studies actually seem to point towards that being a major benefit when studying from physical media). But I'd be happy to discuss this.

I am learning bus routes sometimes, and knowing where on the 30-stop route I am is not helpful if I don't care about most stops (and may be harmful if I get confused or need to distinguish between two routes — I even add an "end" line sometimes).

I am using MorphMan now, so I split such long cards sometimes (although I haven't yet reduced my backlog enough to benefit from MorphMan with them).
