Gnome Shell can load extensions from different directories, which can lead to trouble... An old version remains installed somewhere and gets picked up, it can also be in memory. Try removing [email protected] from those directories (if you ever used installed version from git, or from your distro repos):
~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/usr/local/share/gnome-shell/extensions
reinstall the extension, restart gnome shell and enjoy! :-)
